O'SULLIVAN HALL & JUNIOR HIGH YARD
This summer we renovated O'Sullivan Hall and the Junior High Yard. Our Hall was in desperate need of repair, aesthetic improvements, and technology upgrades. The hall now has energy efficient windows. We added a new sound system and new up and down lighting. With the exposed brick and new flooring, the Hall is now an enjoyable and safe place to gather for meetings, school activities and worship. When we began this project, so many families asked us for more green space. We are thrilled with the landscaping inside our renovated Junior High Yard, with a bench for students to sit on and several more trees and plants for shade. We resurfaced the court as well and now have a very safe, level and even play space for our kids.
PROJECT SAFE & BEAUTIFUL
We have just completed Project Safe & Beautiful! TD Construction, led by lifelong parishioner Mike Rotolo, transformed our campus by creating a brand new courtyard between the church and the school. This courtyard serves many purposes. It creates a gathering space for parishioners after and before Mass. It provides increased security for the school during the week, allowing parishioners access to the church buildings but not onto the school campus. The courtyard is paved with commemorative bricks, and a new memorial wall is prominently displayed behind the statue of Mary. The project also included a more secure and aesthetically pleasing perimeter for our grounds. Access to the parking lot is now granted by automatic gates. The parking lot has been renovated and repainted with clear lines for a safer experience while parking your car and walking into Mass. The entire campus is enhanced with added green space and shade.
DAY CARE CENTER
The Day Care Center was one of our first projects.
Our goal was to provide a comfortable place for our students to feel at home in after school. We redid flooring, bathrooms, installed sound reducing ceiling tiles, and replaced all furniture and carpets. Below you will see a before and after for this project.
We have spent the past year solidifying our buildings. This kind of renovation is not glamorous, but it is of utmost importance that we provide the safest environment possible for our community.
SCHOOL HALLWAYS AND BATHROOMS
Our school buildings need a lot of TLC.
In 2017 we started with the lower elementary building, renovating the hallways and the bathrooms.
We plan to continue with the upper class building as well. Below you can see the transformation before and after renovation for the hallways.
It has been repeated over and over that our parishioners are some of the most beautiful souls God has ever created. We aspire for our campus to reflect some of that beauty and to share the same welcoming spirit.
STILL TO COME
We have big plans. BIG BIG plans. Please see the below list of projects still on the horizon. While we are not certain of order, this is a comprehensive list of projects we would like to Renew.
STILL ON THE HORIZON...
• Renovated hallway in Junior High Building
• Technology upgrades around campus
• Painting and needed repairs around entire campus
• Asbestos abatement / new floors
• Refurbishing Church interior
If you've been here in September, you know that the school buildings get VERY hot. We need to replace
our windows and install an efficient HVAC system.
This is one of the more expensive projects. We need
to raise over $500k for this project alone. But, boy will
it be worth it.
